You can start the actuator test through the central maintenance computer system (CMCS), while you do the dry-motor of the engine. After you start the test, the EEC does the steps that follow:
(a)
Moves the actuators of the FMU, SVA, TCC and AOC to the fully closed position.
(b)
Moves the actuator of the BVA to the fully open position.
(c)
Moves the actuators of the FMU, SVA, TCC, AOC, and BVA to the opposite position.
(d)
Moves the actuators of the FMU, SVA, TCC, AOC, and BVA to the initial position.
(e)
Sends the failures that the EEC found to the CMCS.

When you push the line select key adjacent to the <EEC (1A,2A,3A, or 4A) ACTUATORS prompt in the ground test menu, the EEC will start the test for channel A of the related engine 1,2,3, or 4. When you push the line select key adjacent to the <EEC (1B,2B,3B, or 4B) ACTUATORS prompt, the EEC will start the test for channel B of the related engine 1,2,3, or 4.

Put the EEC MAINT ENG 1 (2,3, or 4) POWER switch on the P461 panel
to the TEST position.

Prepare the CDU for the test:
