_______ SUPPLIED TO THE FUEL PUMP INLET. THE FUEL PUMP AND THE FMU ARE LUBRICATED WITH FUEL. IF BOOST PUMP PRESSURE IS NOT SUPPLIED, DAMAGE TO FUEL PUMP CAN OCCUR.
(11) On the engine which is motored, apply the boost pump pressure to the fuel pump inlet with the steps that follow:
(a)
For the applicable engine, open this circuit breaker and
install the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
1) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
a) 6L10, FUEL CONT VALVE ENG 1
b) 6L11, FUEL CONT VALVE ENG 2
c) 6L12, FUEL CONT VALVE ENG 3
d) 6L13, FUEL CONT VALVE ENG 4
(b)
Put the FUEL CONTROL switch to the RUN position.
1) Make sure the EICAS advisory message, ENG (1, 2, 3, or 4) FUEL VLV, shows.

CAUTION:_______YOU MUST OBEY THE STARTER OPERATION LIMITS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE STARTER OPERATION LIMITS, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE STARTER.
(12) Pull out the applicable START button.
NOTE: When you pull out the START button, the starter will engage
____ and turn the engine. The light in the START button will go on and the DUCT PRESS value on the EICAS will increase. It is possible that the EICAS will not show N2, N1, or the correct EGT value until N2 is approximately 8% rpm. N1 will show at approximately 15% N2 rpm.
(a) Look for a positive oil pressure indication.

(b)
Make sure you get a maximum motor speed of 19-28% N2 rpm.
(c)
Monitor the N2, EPR, and the positive oil pressure indication.

CAUTION: YOU MUST FIND AND CORRECT THE CAUSE FOR THE FUEL FLOW
_______ INDICATION OR THE FOG BEFORE THE SUBSEQUENT START. IF YOU DO NOT CORRECT THE CAUSE OF THE FUEL FLOW INDICATION OR THE FOG, YOU CAN CAUSE AN ENGINE OVERTEMPERATURE CONDITION OR A FLAME OUT ON THE SUBSEQUENT START.
(13) If there is a fuel fog, continue to motor the engine in the starter operation limits.
(a) Do the checks that are necessary.

Put the START button to the off position.
(a) Make sure the light on the START button goes off.

Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition.

(1) Remove the boost pump pressure from the fuel pump inlet with the steps that follow:
(a)
Make sure the N2 rotor has stopped.
(b)
Put the applicable MAIN AFT and FWD switches for the fuel to the OFF position.
(c)
For the applicable engine, remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker as follows: 1) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
a) 6L10, FUEL CONT VALVE ENG 1 b) 6L11, FUEL CONT VALVE ENG 2 c) 6L12, FUEL CONT VALVE ENG 3 d) 6L13, FUEL CONT VALVE ENG 4
(d)
Put the applicable FUEL CONTROL switch to the CUTOFF position.
(e)
Erase the EICAS advisory message, ENG (1, 2, 3, or 4) FUEL VLV, with the steps that follow: 1) Get access to the menu of the CMCS present leg faults
(AMM 45-10-00/201).
