(1) If you replaced the EEC, programming plug, or power plant, open these circuit breakers and attach the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
1) For the applicable engine: a) 6F13 ENG 1 T/R CONT b) 6E13 ENG 2 T/R CONT c) 6D13 ENG 3 T/R CONT d) 6C13 ENG 4 T/R CONT
2) For all engines: a) 6J18 ENG START AIR CONTROL
(b) P414 Main Power Distribution Panel
1) 414D25 ENG IDLE CONT ALT

Make sure the AUTO-THROTTLE ARM switch on the AFDS mode control panel (7080) is in the OFF position.
(3)
Make sure the fuel control switch is in the CUTOFF position.

TEST NO. 7 - EEC STATIC TEST

Make sure the applicable EEC mode select switch on the P5 panel (M7330) is in the NORM position.

Make sure the thrust lever is in the idle position.

Put the applicable EEC MAINT ENG 1 (2,3, or 4) POWER switch on the P461 panel to the TEST position.

Do this Check After the Replacement of the EEC, Programming Plug, or Power Plant.

(1) Do a check of the EEC mode select switch.
(a)
Go to the PERFORMANCE page on the EICAS display (AMM 45-10-00/201).
(b)
Move the thrust lever for the applicable engine to the maximum forward position.
(c)
Make sure value for the EPR CMD is the same as or more than the value for the EPR MAX.
(d)
Put the applicable EEC mode select switch to the ALTN position while you hold the thrust lever for the applicable engine at the full forward position.
(e)
Make sure the value for the EPR CMD on the EICAS does not show.
(f)
Make sure that the applicable EEC ALTN mode light comes on.
(g)
Move the thrust lever to the idle position.
(h)
Put the applicable EEC mode select switch to the NORM position.
(i)
Make sure that the applicable EEC ALTN mode light goes off.

(2) If you replaced the EEC, programming plug, or power plant, do a check of the AUTO-THROTTLE ARM discrete.
(a)
Go to the CMCS input monitoring (AMM 45-10-00/201).
(b)
Put in the applicable input code that follows: 1) Eng 1: E/082/275/00 2) Eng 2: E/084/275/00 3) Eng 3: E/083/275/00 4) Eng 4: E/085/275/00
(c)
Make sure that the bit 22 (sixth digit from the right on the first row) is set to "0".
(d)
Put the AUTO-THROTTLE ARM switch to the A/T ARM position.
(e)
Make sure that the bit 22 (sixth digit from the right on the first row) is set to "1".
(f)
Put the AUTO-THROTTLE ARM switch to the OFF position.

If you replaced the EEC, programming plug, or power plant, do a check of the EEC thrust lever angle (TLA) at idle and full throttle.
(a)
Go to the EPCS page (AMM 45-10-00/201).
(b)
Make sure that the TRA indication for the applicable engine, on the EICAS EPCS page, is between 33.8 and 35.8 degrees.
