TEST NO. 13 - ENGINE MAIN OIL PRESSURE

 (6)  S 975-159-N00Make a record of the N2 and OIL P indications shown on the auxiliary EICAS.
 (7)  S 865-161-N00Slowly move the thrust lever forward to the 1.4 EPR position. (a) Let the engine become stable for 15-20 seconds.
 (8)  S 975-160-N00Make a record of the N2 and OIL P indication shown on the auxiliary EICAS.
 (9)  S 865-162-N00Slowly move the thrust lever rearward to the minimum idle position. (a) Operate the engine for 5 minutes to decrease the engine temperature.

 Use the Power Plant Operation (Normal) procedure to do the engine shutdown (AMM 71-00-00/201).

 Make sure the indications for the main oil pressure are in the permitted limits (Fig. 511).

 If the indications are not in the permitted limits, do the steps that follow:

 (a)  
Examine the type of the metering tube nipple which is installed.

 (b)  
ON ENGINES WITHOUT PW SB 72-114; find the new type of metering tube nipple (Fig. 512, Sheet 1 and Table 505).

 (c)  
ON ENGINES WITH PW SB 72-114; find the new type of the metering tube nipple (Fig. 512, Sheet 2 and Table 505).

 (d)  
Open the left fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-04/201).
