_______ OPERATE THE HOIST. THE HOISTS CAN RELEASE THE LOAD IF YOU ACCIDENTALLY SET THE CONTROL LEVER OR THE KNOB INTO THE NEUTRAL OR THE FREE CHAIN POSITION. YOU ARE RECOMMENDED TO PUT THE CONTROL LEVER IN THE UP POSITION WHEN THE HOIST IS NOT USED. IF THE LOAD FALLS, INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 (6)  Lift the cradle to the power plant with the steps that follow (Fig. 410):
 CAUTION: DO NOT LET THE LOAD BE MORE THAN 2000 POUNDS ON THE AFT
_______ BOOTSTRAPS. YOU MUST FIRST ADD A LOAD ON THE FORWARD BOOTSTRAPS TO REMOVE THE LOAD FROM THE FORWARD DOLLY WHEELS BEFORE YOU ADD A LOAD TO THE AFT BOOTSTRAPS. SLOWLY ADD A LOAD TO THE FORWARD BOOTSTRAPS TO MAKE SURE THE DIFFERENCE IN THE LOAD BETWEEN THE INBOARD AND OUTBOARD BOOTSTRAPS IS NOT MORE THAN 2000 POUNDS DURING THE HOIST PROCEDURE. IF THE LOAD IS MORE THAN THE LOAD LIMIT, DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE AND BOOTSTRAP EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 (a)  
Lift the cradle and the transportation stand from the ground.

 1)  Let the transportation stand hang in the center of the power plant.

 (b)  
Lower the cradle and the transportation stand to the ground.

 (c)  
Loosen the bolts (2) until the clamps (3) are away from the transportation stand.

 (d)  
Remove the pins (4) which attach the cradle to the
 transportation stand.

(e)  Lift the cradle from the transportation stand to the power plant.
 NOTE: To align the cradle with the power plant, the forward
____ 6-ton hoists are used to move the cradle in the roll direction. The forward or aft hoists are used to move the cradle in the pitch direction.

 (7)  Attach the cradle to the engine adapters with the steps that follow (Fig. 409):
 (a)  
Align the forward and aft adapters (19 and 14) to the cradle.

 (b)  
Attach the forward adapters (19) to the cradle with the pins (18).

 (c)  
Attach the aft adapters (14) to the cradle with the latch (21), washer (22), and nut (23).

 WARNING:_______MONITOR THE LOAD CELLS ON THE FORWARD AND AFT HOISTS. DO NOT LET THE LOAD BE MORE THAN 7500 POUNDS IN EACH FORWARD LOAD CELL. DO NOT LET THE LOAD BE MORE THAN 1650 POUNDS IN THE AFT LOAD CELL. IF THE LOAD IS MORE THAN THE LIMITS, THE ENGINE CAN FALL. IF THE ENGINE FALLS, INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE CAN OCCUR.
 (8)  Move the weight of the power plant on the bootstrap equipment with the steps that follow:
 (a)  
Use the aft hoists to make the load cell show 1300 pounds.

 (b)  
Use the forward hoists to make each load cell show 7000 pounds.

 (9)  Disconnect the engine mounts with the steps that follow (Fig. 411):
 (a)  
Install the deep socket and the torque adapter of the torque equipment (A71003) on the forward or aft vertical tension bolts (1, 2 or 12).

 (b)  
Loosen the forward and aft vertical tension bolts (1, 2, and 12) one-half turn.

 NOTE:____The load cell indications must not change. Make sure there is a distance between the engine mounts and the strut.
 1)  If the load cell indications increase, make sure the indications are less than the maximum permitted value.
