 (f)  Go to the EICAS EPCS page (AMM 45-10-00/201).
 WARNING:_______ MAKE SURE ALL PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE
 THRUST REVERSER DURING OPERATION.  IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW
 THESE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO
 EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 CAUTION:_______ MAKE SURE THAT THE HINGED COWLS ARE CLOSED AND LATCHED
 BEFORE YOU OPERATE THE THRUST REVERSER WITH THE ENGINE IN
 OPERATION.  IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS,

 DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 (g)  For the applicable engine, quickly pull and hold the thrust reverser lever against the interlock. 1) Measure the time the REV indication on the top EICAS
 display is yellow.
 2)  An amber REV light will show on the top EICAS display above the applicable EPR indication to show movement of the thrust reverser.
 3)  A green REV light will replace the amber REV light when the thrust reverser has successfully moved to the deployed position.
 (h)  
Make sure the REV indication is not yellow for more than 3.0 seconds.

 (i)  
Make sure the RP indication on the EICAS EPCS page is between 98 and 102. 1) If the RP indication is not between 98 and 102, replace the


 center locking hydraulic actuator for the thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-17/401).
 CAUTION: DO NOT OPERATE THE ENGINE AT MORE THAN 30 PERCENT N1 IN
_______ THE REVERSE THRUST MODE. DO NOT OPERATE THE ENGINE IN REVERSE IDLE FOR MORE THAN 5 MINUTES. IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE CAN OCCUR.
 (j)  Slowly move the reverse thrust lever to increase the engine speed to approximately 30 percent N1.

TEST NO. 11 - REPLACEMENT ENGINE TEST (UNTESTED)

 (k)  Slowly move the reverse thrust lever to the REVERSE IDLE
 position.
 NOTE: This makes sure the interlock for the reverse thrust____
 lever is removed.
 (l)  Put the applicable reverse thrust lever through the interlock
 to the forward thrust position.
 1) Measure the time the REV indication is yellow on the top
 EICAS display.
 2) Make sure that the green REV light changes to amber while
 the thrust reverser moves.
 3) Make sure the REV light goes off when the thrust reverser
 is in the fully stowed position.
 (m)  Make sure that the REV indication is not yellow for more than
 3.0 seconds.
 (n)  Make sure the RP indication on the EICAS EPCS page is between
 -2 and +2.
 (o)  If the RP indication is not between -2.0 and 2.0, set the
 position indicator for the thrust reverser (AMM 78-36-00/501).
 1) If you cannot set the position indicator for the thrust
 reverser, replace the center locking hydraulic actuator for
 the thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-17/401).
 (p)  Let the engine become stable at idle for 5 minutes.

 Do a check of the IDG disconnect function (AMM 24-11-01/201).

 Make a record of the EICAS and CMCS messages with the steps that follow:

 (a)  
Make a record of the EICAS messages shown that are related to the engine.

 (b)  
Do a check and make a record of the messages in the CMCS EXISTING FAULTS (AMM 45-10-00/201).

 (20) Use the Power Plant Operation (Normal) procedure to do the engine shutdown (AMM 71-00-00/201).
 (a)  Before you do the engine shutdown, check the IDG disconnect function (AMM 24-11-01/201).
