CAUTION: KEEP HYDRAULIC SYSTEM 1 PRESSURIZED TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE
_______ POSITIVE CONTROL OF THE NOSE GEAR STEERING. KEEP HYDRAULIC SYSTEM 4 PRESSURIZED TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE POSITIVE CONTROL OF THE MAIN GEAR BRAKES. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE CONTROL OF THE AIRPLANE, DAMAGE TO THE AIRPLANE CAN OCCUR.
(1) Do Test No. 3 - Ground Test - Idle Power to make sure there are no leaks.

TEST NO. 13 - ENGINE MAIN OIL PRESSURE

WARNING:_______USE AMM 71-00-00/201 TO OPERATE THE POWER PLANT. IF YOU DO NOT USE THIS PROCEDURE, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT OR INJURY TO PERSONS.
(2) Use the Power Plant Operation (Normal) procedure to start the engine (AMM 71-00-00/201).
(a) Let the engine become stable at minimum idle for 5 minutes.

(3) Make sure the engine indications during the operation are in operation limits and make sure there are no leaks.
NOTE: If an engine turns at speeds below idle, a small quantity
____ of oil leakage can occur. It comes through the carbon seal assembly for the No. 2 bearing. This usually occurs when the engine turns at low speeds for an extended time (when an engine has an extended start/shutdown or when an engine turns freely in the wind). After the engine shutdown, this oil leakage can be on the retention bolts for the variable stator vane at the bottom of the engine. It can also be on the bottom of the nose cone/spinner. This small quantity of oil leakage is permitted.

(4) Make a record of the N2 and OIL P indications shown on the auxiliary EICAS.

(5) Slowly move the thrust lever forward to the 1.3 EPR position.
