Push the applicable HYD PUMPS ENGINE switch on the pilots'
overhead panel, P5, to the ON position.
(c)
Push the HYD switch on the EICAS Display Select Panel.
(d)
Push the fire override switch below the fire handle on the
pilots' overhead panel, P5.
CAUTION:_______DO NOT TURN THE FIRE HANDLE. THE EXTINGUISHING BOTTLES WILL DISCHARGE AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE IF THE FIRE HANDLE IS TURNED.
(e)
Pull the applicable fire handle straight out.
(f)
Make sure the applicable SOV on the EICAS HYD PAGE of the
Auxiliary EICAS Display is in the closed position.
(g)
For the applicable engine, open this circuit breaker and attach the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag: 1) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
a) 7J04 HYDRAULICS EDP SUPPLY 1
b) 7J05 HYDRAULICS EDP SUPPLY 2
c) 7J06 HYDRAULICS EDP SUPPLY 3
d) 7J07 HYDRAULICS EDP SUPPLY 4
(h)
Push the fire handle back to its usual position.
(i)
For the applicable engine, remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and
close this circuit breaker:
1) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
a) 6H01 FIRE EXTINGUISHER ENG 1 & 3 B
b) 6H02 FIRE EXTINGUISHER ENG 1 & 3 A
c) 6H03 FIRE EXTINGUISHER ENG 2 & 4 B
d) 6H04 FIRE EXTINGUISHER ENG 2 & 4 A

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE AWAY FROM THE LE AND
_______ TE FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. THE ACCIDENTAL OPERATION OF THE FLAPS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(10) Do this task: Retracted Leading Edge Flaps Deactivation (AMM 27-81-00/201).
(a) If it is necessary, retract the leading edge slats
(AMM 27-81-00/201).

(11) Remove the mid-fairing of the core cowl skirt (2) 452JL and 452JR, 462JL and 462JR, 472JL and 472JR, or 482JL and 482JR on each side of the strut above the aft engine mount (Fig. 401).
