Make sure the thrust reversers deploy and the interlock of the reverse thrust lever releases:
(a)
Make sure the applicable NACELLE ANTI-ICE and ENGINE BLEED
switches are in the OFF position.
(b)
Make sure the EEC MAINT ENG (1,2,3, or 4) POWER switch on the P461 panel is in the NORM position.
WARNING:_______USE AMM 71-00-00/201 TO OPERATE THE POWER PLANT. IF YOU DO NOT USE THIS PROCEDURE, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT OR INJURY TO PERSONS.
(c)
Use the Power Plant Operation (Normal) procedure to start the engine (AMM 71-00-00/201).
(d)
Operate the engine at minimum idle for 5 minutes.
NOTE: Do not do this step if the engine has operated at the
____ minimum idle condition for 5 minutes during the engine start procedure.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE
_______ AND TE FLAPS AND THE FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. IF PERSONS ARE NOT CLEAR OF THE FLAPS, INJURY TO PERSONS CAN OCCUR.
WARNING:_______MAKE SURE THE LE FLAPS ARE RETRACTED. THEY WILL AUTOMATICALLY RETRACT WHEN THE REVERSE THRUST LEVERS ARE MOVED DURING THE REVERSE THRUST. IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(e) Make sure the leading edge flaps are fully retracted
(AMM 27-81-00/201).
