Do this procedure: Thrust Reverser Deactivation for Ground Maintenance (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Open the core cowl panel (AMM 71-11-06/201).

_______ THRUST REVERSERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
 (4)  
Open the thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

 (5)  
Look at the fuel tube connection for leaks on the component you replaced.

 (a)  
If you find a leak, repair or replace the fuel tube, fitting, or the component as it is necessary.

 (b)  
Do a check for leaks again.

 A. General
 (1)  
This test examines the engine following maintenance action after a high power engine surge.

Procedure


 S 915-215-N00
 (1)  
Use the Power Plant Operation (Normal) procedure to start the engine (AMM 71-00-00/201).

 (2)  
Operate the engine at minimum idle for 5 minutes.

 (3)
Slowly move the thrust lever forward to the 1.40 EPR target.

 (a)  
After the engine is stable for 2 minutes, make a record of the engine parameters.

 (b)  
Make sure the engine does not surge while it is at the 1.4 EPR target.

 (c)  
Slowly move the thrust lever rearward to the idle position.

 

 (4)
Let the engine become stable at minimum idle for 5 minutes.

Use the Power Plant Operation (Normal) procedure to do the engine shutdown (AMM 71-00-00/201).
