CAUTION: AFTER A WET-MOTOR, YOU MUST DRY-MOTOR THE ENGINE FOR 30 SECONDS
_______ TO REMOVE THE FUEL FROM THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER. IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE FUEL FROM THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER, AN ENGINE OVERTEMPERATURE OR A FLAME OUT OF THE EXHAUST SLEEVE CAN OCCUR.
(1) Use the Power Plant Dry-Motor or Wet-Motor procedure to motor the
engine (AMM 71-00-00/201).
(a) If you do not want any N1 rotation, complete the following step (Optional).
1) Carefully install two PWA 102757 Wedges between two fan blades and the fan case at approximately the 6 o'clock position (Fig. 503).
NOTE: The thinnest edge of the wedge must be centered
____ onto the leading edge of the fan blades and then tapped into position, along the blade chord line, until they fit tightly in the fan blade to case clearance gap.

(2) Open the applicable cowl as it is necessary:
(a) Open the fan cowl panel (AMM 71-11-04/201).
WARNING: DO THE THRUST REVERSER DEACTIVATION PROCEDURE TO PREVENT
_______ THE OPERATION OF THE THRUST REVERSER. THE ACCIDENTAL OPERATION OF THE THRUST REVERSER CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(b)
Do this procedure: Thrust Reverser Deactivation for Ground Maintenance (AMM 78-31-00/201).
(c)
Open the core cowl panel (Ref 71-11-06/201).
WARNING: OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS IN 78-31-00 WHEN YOU OPEN THE THRUST
_______ REVERSERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(d) Open the thrust reverser (Ref 78-31-00/201).

(3) Examine the component or system, which the test is done on, for satisfactory operation or leaks as it is necessary. (a) If leakage is found, repair or replace the line, fitting, or component as it is necessary and examine for leaks again.

(4) Remove Wedges (PWA 102757) from the fan blade to fan case clearance gap if used to prevent N1 rotation.

(5) Close the cowls as it is necessary:
