AIR DATA SYSTEM - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks. The first task is an operational test of the air data system. The second task is a system test of the air data system. The operational test uses the air data system Built-In-Test (BIT) to examine the air data system. The Central Maintenance Computer system control display unit (CDU) operates the air data system Built-In-Test (BIT). The system test examines the air data system with external test equipment. The air data inputs of altitude, airspeed, angle-of-attack (AOA), and total air temperature (TAT) are supplied. System outputs are monitored on displays from the integrated display system (IDS) or an ARINC 429 bus reader.

2. Operational Test - Air Data System__________________________________
A. General
(1) The operational test examines the air data system with the ADC BIT through the CDU. The ADCs are examined one ADC at a time. The CDU and the fault monitor on the ADC front panel will give BIT test pass/fail data.
