AIR DATA COMPUTER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. This subject contains two tasks. The first task is to remove an air data computer. The second task is to install an air data computer. The second task includes a test of the air data computer installation.
B. The left, the center, and the right air data computers are installed in the main equipment center. The left air data computer is installed on shelf No. 1 of the E1 electronic equipment rack. The center air data computer is installed on shelf No. 3 of the E1 electronic equipment rack. The right air data computer is installed on shelf No. 3 of the E2 electronic equipment rack.

Make sure the two F/D switches on the MCP are in the OFF position.

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7A10, ADC L PWR
2) 7A12, AOA L
3) 7A13, AOA ALTN L
4) 7A14, ADC R PWR
5) 7A16, AOA R
6) 7A17, AOA ALTN R
7) 7J15, ADC C PWR

CAUTION: DO NOT DISCONNECT THE PITOT-STATIC SYSTEM HOSES WHEN THE SYSTEM
_______ IS NOT AT AMBIENT PRESSURE. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIR DATA COMPUTER.
(3) Disconnect the pitot-static system hoses from the front panel of the air data computer.

_______ DATA COMPUTER. IF YOU TOUCH THESE CONDUCTORS, ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE FROM YOUR BODY CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIR DATA COMPUTER.
(4) Remove the air data computer from the electronic equipment rack (AMM 20-11-22/401).

3. Air Data Computer Installation______________________________
A. General
(1) You do not have to do a leak test when you connect a quick-disconnect fitting. A visual examination of the quick-disconnect for a complete seal is necessary. You must do a leak test when you cannot make sure that the quick-disconnect has a complete seal.
