SOURCE SELECT VALVE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General

A. This subject contains two tasks. The first task is to remove a source select valve. The second task is to install a source select valve. The second task includes a test of the source select valve.
B. A source select valve is installed in the main equipment center. This valve is for the pitot system and the static system. The valve is installed on the aft side of the floor beam at sta 440.

Open this circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
(a) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7J17 ADC C P/S XFR VALVE
(2)
Remove the source select valve:

CAUTION: DO NOT DISCONNECT THE PITOT-STATIC SYSTEM HOSES WHEN THE
_______ PITOT-STATIC SYSTEM IS NOT AT AMBIENT PRESSURE. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SOURCE SELECT VALVE.
(a)
Remove the pitot-static system hoses from the valve.
(b)
Install dust caps on the hoses.
