WARNING:_______ DO NOT USE THE S242T210-207 ADCS WITH THE S242T210-205 ADCS.
THE INSTALLATION OF THE S242T210-207 AND THE S242T210-205
TOGETHER CAN CAUSE ALTITUDE AND AIRSPEED DIFFERENCES. THESE
DIFFERENCES SHOW ON THE CAPTAIN'S AND THE FIRST OFFICER'S
PRIMARY FLIGHT DISPLAYS.
CAUTION:_______ DO NOT TOUCH THE CONNECTOR PINS OR OTHER CONDUCTORS ON THE AIR
DATA COMPUTER. IF YOU TOUCH THESE CONDUCTORS, ELECTROSTATIC
DISCHARGE FROM YOUR BODY CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIR DATA
COMPUTER.

Install the air data computer in the electronic equipment rack (AMM 20-11-22/401).

AIRPLANES WITHOUT QUICK-DISCONNECTS ON THE -210 ADC AND PREVIOUS; Install quick-disconnects on the ADC.
(a) Do the system leak test (AMM 34-11-01/501).

CAUTION: DO NOT CONNECT THE PITOT-STATIC SYSTEM HOSES WHEN THE SYSTEM IS
_______ NOT AT AMBIENT PRESSURE. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIR DATA COMPUTER.
(5) AIRPLANES WITH QUICK-DISCONNECTS ON THE ADC; AIRPLANES WITH -211 ADC AND SUBSEQUENT; Connect the pitot-static system hoses to the front panel of the air data computer.
NOTE:____The Air Data Computers have quick-disconnect connectors. You do not have to do a leak test when you replace/reconnect a component. Visually make sure the quick-disconnects are fully connected and locked in a sealed position. If you are not sure the quick-disconnect is correct, do the system leak test (AMM 34-11-01/501).

Make sure the pitot-static system hose connections are locked in the sealed position.

(8) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
(a) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7A10, ADC L PWR
2) 7A12, AOA L
3) 7A13, AOA ALTN L
4) 7A14, ADC R PWR
5) 7A16, AOA R
6) 7A17, AOA ALTN R
7) 7J15, ADC C PWR

Do a test of the air data computer with the steps that follow:
CAUTION: DO NOT DO THE BITE TEST OF THE AIR DATA COMPUTER WHILE
_______ THERE IS PRESSURE IN THE PITOT-STATIC SYSTEM. THE ADC WILL GO INTO A FAILURE CONDITION AND TRANSMIT THIS CONDITION TO ITS INTERFACE SYSTEMS.
(a) Push and hold the test switch on the front panel of the ADC.
NOTE: Use the left ADC when you replace the left ADC
____
transformer.
NOTE: Use the right ADC when you replace the right ADC
____
transformer.
NOTE: Use the center ADC when you replace the center ADC
____
transformer.
(b)
Make sure that a (-) shows in the EXTERNAL SENSOR FAULT display on the front panel of the ADC.
(c)
Make sure that the FAIL indicator is black on the front panel of the ADC.
(d)
Release the test switch on the front panel of the ADC.
E. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

TOTAL AIR TEMPERATURE PROBE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This subject contains two tasks. The first task is to remove a total air temperature probe. The second task is to install a total air temperature probe. The second task includes a test of the temperature probe installation.
