E. Prepare to Flush the Pitot-Static System

(1) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
1) 6D30 PROBE HEAT PITOT L
2) 6D31 PROBE HEAT PITOT R
3) 6D32 PROBE HEAT AUX PITOT L
4) 6D33 PROBE HEAT AUX PITOT R

On flight deck, remove the standby airspeed indicator (N246) from center instrument panel (P2) (Ref 34-13-01/401).

Remove the quick disconnects from the standby airspeed indicator pitot and static system hoses:
(a)
Remove the quick disconnects from the pitot and static hoses.
(b)
Install pressure caps on the pitot and static hoses.
(c)
Temporarily attach the hoses to prevent movement.

(4) On the flight deck, remove the standby altimeter (N141) from the center instrument panel (P2) (Ref 34-13-02/401).

(5) Remove the quick disconnect from the standby altimeter static system hose:
(a)
Remove the quick disconnect from the static hose.
(b)
Install the pressure cap on the static hose.
(c)
Temporarily attach the hose to prevent movement.

(6) In the electrical and electronics compartment, disconnect the left and right air data computers from the pitot-static system:
(a)
Disconnect the pitot and static hoses from the left and right air data computers.
(b)
Install protective caps on the left and right air data computer ports.
(c)
Remove the quick-disconnects from the pitot and static hoses.
(d)
Install pressure caps on the pitot and static hoses.
(e)
Temporarily attach the hoses to prevent movement.

(7) In the electrical and electronics compartment, disconnect the center air data computer from the pitot-static system:
(a)
Disconnect the pitot and static hoses from the center air data computer (B166) on the E1-3 shelf.
(b)
Install a protective cap on the center air data computer ports.
(c)
Remove the quick-disconnects from the pitot and static hoses.
(d)
Install pressure caps on the pitot and static hoses.
(e)
Disconnect the center air data computer pitot hose from the output of the pitot source select valve.
