CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE PITOT LINE PRESSURE IS EQUIVALENT OR MORE
_______ THAN THE STATIC LINE PRESSURE. KEEP THE STATIC PRESSURE CHANGES LESS THAN 5000 FEET FOR EACH MINUTE. MAKE SURE THAT THE DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE STAYS BETWEEN 0 AND 10.19 INCHES OF MERCURY. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE PITOT-STATIC SYSTEM.
(4) Open the static cutoff valve.

_______ SYSTEM IS NOT AT AMBIENT PRESSURE. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
(6) Disconnect the pneumatic test set from the test fitting.

WARNING: FAILURE TO REMOVE THE VINYL ADHESIVE TAPE FROM THE STATIC PORTS
_______ BEFORE FLIGHT MAY CAUSE LARGE ERRORS IN AIRSPEED SENSING AND ALTITUDE SENSING SIGNALS, WHICH MAY LEAD TO LOSS OF SAFE FLIGHT.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT YOU REMOVE ALL OF THE PIECES OF TAPE FROM EACH
_______ PITOT-STATIC PROBE. THE SYSTEM WILL NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY WHEN THE TAPE IS IN ITS POSITION.

Remove the vinyl adhesive tape from the left and right alternate static pressure ports.

Examine the pitot-static probe static ports for unwanted materials and rough locations on the inner and outer surfaces (Ref 34-11-01/601).

PITOT-STATIC PROBE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This subject contains two tasks. The first task is to remove a pitot-static probe. The second task is to install a pitot-static probe. The second task includes a test of the pitot-static probe installation.
B. Four pitot-static probes are installed on the external surface of the airplane. Two probes are installed forward of the No. 1 left door at STA 270, WL 200. Two probes are installed forward of the No. 1 right door at STA 270, WL 200.
