(h)
Close the static cutoff valve to the system when the necessary altitude is reached.
(i)
Remove the seal from the S2 port of the lower right pitot-static probe.
(j)
Make sure that the indication on the test set vacuum gage drops to field elevation.
S 865-126
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE PITOT LINE PRESSURE IS EQUIVALENT OR MORE
_______ THAN THE STATIC LINE PRESSURE. KEEP THE STATIC PRESSURE CHANGES LESS THAN 5000 FEET FOR EACH MINUTE. MAKE SURE THAT THE DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE STAYS BETWEEN 0 AND 10.19 INCHES OF MERCURY. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE PITOT-STATIC SYSTEM.
(4)
Open the static cutoff valve.
(5)
Put the captain's static system to ambient pressure.

CAUTION: DO NOT DISCONNECT THE PNEUMATIC TEST SET WHEN THE PITOT-STATIC
_______ SYSTEM IS NOT AT AMBIENT PRESSURE. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
(6) Disconnect the pneumatic test set from the test fitting.

WARNING: FAILURE TO REMOVE THE VINYL ADHESIVE TAPE FROM THE STATIC PORTS
_______ BEFORE FLIGHT MAY CAUSE LARGE ERRORS IN AIRSPEED SENSING AND ALTITUDE SENSING SIGNALS, WHICH MAY LEAD TO LOSS OF SAFE FLIGHT.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT YOU REMOVE ALL OF THE PIECES OF TAPE FROM EACH
_______ PITOT-STATIC PROBE. THE SYSTEM WILL NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY WHEN THE TAPE IS IN ITS POSITION.
(7) Remove the vinyl adhesive tape from these locations:
(a)
The forward static ports (S1) in the upper left pitot-static probe.
(b)
The aft static ports (S2) in the lower right pitot-static probe.
S 215-129
(8) Examine the pitot-static probe static ports for unwanted materials and rough locations on the inner and outer surfaces (Ref 34-11-01/601).

WARNING: WHEN THE STATIC PORTS ARE COVERED, MAKE SURE THAT CONDITION IS
_______ VISIBLE FROM THE GROUND. FAILURE TO OBSERVE AND REMOVE COVERINGS OVER STATIC PORTS BEFORE FLIGHT MAY CAUSE LARGE ERRORS ON AIRSPEED SENSING AND ALTITUDE SENSING SIGNALS, WHICH MAY LEAD TO LOSS OF SAFE FLIGHT.
WARNING:_______MAKE SURE THAT THE PROBE HEAT IS NOT ON. YOU CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
CAUTION:_______DO NOT EXTEND THE SEALS INTO THE STATIC PORT. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE IN THE AREA WHEN YOU REMOVE THE SEALS.
(1) Seal these locations with vinyl adhesive tape:
(a)
The forward static ports (S1) in the upper right pitot-static probe.
(b)
The aft static ports (S2) in the lower left pitot-static probe.

(2) Connect the pneumatic test set to the first officer's static system test fitting.
(a)
Connect the static (vacuum) source in the pneumatic test unit through the static control valve to the static cutoff valve.
(b)
Connect the first officer's static system test fitting to the static cutoff valve through the test gage and flow restrictor.
NOTE: You will find the test fitting on the right side of the
____ airplane above the system drains at STA 400.
(c) Open the static cutoff valve.
S 795-132
(3) Do a test of the first officer's static system manifold
