Put warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the spoilers.
(3)
Put warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(4) Put the access platform below spoiler 1, zone 580 (680). Subtask 57-71-00-860-056
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Do a manual extension of the spoilers (Ref. TASK 27-60-00-866-002).
(2)
Make sure that the COLLAR-SAFETY, SPOILER (98D27604000000) is installed on the spoiler actuator.

(3) Make sure that the LOCKING TOOL - FLAP/SLAT CONTROL LEVER (98D27803000000) is correctly installed on the flap/slat control lever.

A. Preparation for Inspection
WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.
(1) Use a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003), made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004) to clean the centre hinge fitting and the actuator bracket.

B. Inspection
(1) Examine the center hinge fitting and the actuator bracket. Make sure that:

there is no damage
-
there are no cracks
-
there are no signs of delamination
-
there is no corrosion at the metal attachment points
-the surface protection is in the correct condition.
NOTE : If necessary, refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 577000) for the

correct repair procedure.
5. Close-up

A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 6CV, 8CV.
