R  (2) To repair damage to the fixed fairing seals: 
R  NOTE : Be careful not to damage the adjacent structure when you____

R  (a) Cut and remove loose or damaged pieces of the seal. 
R  (b) Use a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003), made moist with 
R  CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) to clean the area around

R  (c) Apply the BONDING AND ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS (Material No. 08-052) to 
R  the area where the damaged seal has been removed. 
R  (d) Apply the tape between the fairing and the bottom wing skin. Make 
R  sure that it gives the same seal effect as the initial seal.

 

R  (e) Make the tape smooth from the center to the edges to remove air 
R  bubbles and push the edges down tightly. 
R  NOTE : When you cut the tape, make sure there are no cuts or____ 
R  overlaps in the direction of flight. 
R  (3) Make a note in the aircraft log that the seal has been repaired.
