(c)
Move the fairing (with a hand force of between 23 kg (51 lb) and 27 kg (60 lb)) to the right. Do not move the straight edge.
(d)
Measure the distance between the straight edge and the fairing to get dimension Y.
(e)
Compare the dimension Y with the maximum values in table 601.
----------------------------------------------------------------| Fairing | Track 2 | Track 3 | Track 4 | |--------------|---------------|---------------|---------------| | Dimension Y | 11.4 mm | 4.8 mm | 4.0 | | | (0.449 in.) | (0.189 in.) | (0.158 in.) | ----------------------------------------------------------------

(f) If dimension Y is not correct: 1 Remove the applicable fairing (Ref. TASK 57-55-11-000-001).
_ 2 Refer to the applicable CMM procedure (Ref. CMM 575512) or

R A. Check of the Flap Track Fairing Lateral Movement
R (1) Measure the lateral movement of each movable fairing as follows:
R (a) Move the fairing (with a hand force of between 23 kg (51 lb) and
R 27 kg (60 lb)) to the left.
R (b) Put a straight edge in a vertical position against the flap
R trailing edge adjacent to the fairing. Make sure you do not move
R the straight edge.
R (c) Move the fairing (with a hand force of between 23 kg (51 lb) and
R 27 kg (60 lb)) to the right. Do not move the straight edge.
