Make sure that the safety barriers are in position.

Make sure that the warning notices are in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(3)
On the panel 400VU :

make sure that the landing-gear control lever (6GA) is in the down position
-
make sure that the warning notice is in position to tell persons not to operate the landing-gear controls.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER (98D27803500001) is in position on the flap/slat control-lever.
(2)
Make sure that the GROUND LOCK SLEEVE (460005833) or the GROUNDLOCK SLEEVE (460007280) is on the applicable MLG lockstay actuator (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3)
Make sure that the GROUND LOCK SLEEVE (460005835) is on the applicable MLG door actuator (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(4)
Make sure that the access platform is in position below the applicable zone.

Clean the component interfaces and/or the adjacent areas with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026).
(2)
Do an inspection of the component interfaces and/or the adjacent areas.
(3)
Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

B. Installation of the Hinge 1A Extension Fairing

(1) To install the hinge 1A extension fairing if you have not replaced the fixed fairing.
(a)
Use a clean MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) to clean the components that follow :
-
the washers (2) and (4)
-
the bolts (3) and (5).
(b)
Apply a thin layer of BONDING AND ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS (Material No. 08-007) to the threads and shank of the bolts (3) and (5).
