A. Safety Precautions
(1)
Put the safety barriers in position.
(2)
Put warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(3)
On the panel 400VU:
-make sure that the landing-gear control-lever (6GA) is in the DOWN position
-put a warning notice in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gears.

B. Get Access
(1)
Open the MLG doors (Ref. TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2)
Make sure that the GROUND LOCK SLEEVE (460005833) or the GROUNDLOCK SLEEVE (460007280) is installed on the applicable MLG lockstay actuator (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3) Put the access platform in position at zone 733(743). Subtask 57-55-11-865-074

A. Preparation for Removal
(1)
Examine the area around the extension fairing (1) for the black painted lines.
(2)
If you cannot find the black painted lines, paint three black lines in the correct position (Ref. TASK 32-12-14-400-001).

B. Removal of the Hinge 1A Extension Fairing.
(1)
Hold the extension fairing (1).
(2)
Remove the bolts (5), the washers (4), the bolt (3), and the washer (2).
(3)
Remove the extension fairing (1).
