(1)
Put warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.
(2)
Put the safety barriers in position.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the flaps are fully retracted (Ref. TASK 27-50-00-866-009).
(2)
Install the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER (98D27803500001) on the flap/slat control lever.
(3)
Put the adjustable access platform below the applicable flap track 2, 3 or 4, zone 531(631), 532 (632) or 533(633).

-MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

A. Preparation for Reactivation
(1)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003), made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026).
(2)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.

B. Reactivation of the Flap-Track Fairing
(1)
Install the applicable new flap-track fairing (Ref. TASK 57-55-11-400-001).
(2)
Make a note in the aircraft logbook that the fairing has been reactivated.

R B. Reactivation of the Flap-Track Fairing
R (1) At the track 2 position only:
R (a) Remove and discard the cable ties (3).
R R (b) Make sure that the electrical harnesses (9) are in the correct condition.
R R (2) Install the applicable new flap-track fairing (Ref. TASK 57-55-11-400-004).
R R (3) Make a note in the aircraft logbook that the fairing has been reactivated.

(4) Remove the access platform(s).
