Put a warning notice on the flap/slat control lever (panel 114VU) to tell persons not to operate the flaps.

Put the safety barriers in position.

(1) Fully extend the flaps (Ref. TASK 27-50-00-866-008).

(2) Make sure that the LOCKING TOOL - FLAP/SLAT CONTROL LEVER is installed on the flap/slat control lever on the panel 114VU.

D. Get Access
(1)
Put the access platform in position below the flap track 3 at zone 532(632).
(2)
Remove the applicable flap track fairings (Ref. TASK 57-55-11-000-004):

for the left wing, remove 532AT, 532CB
-
for the right wing, remove 632AT, 632CB.
(3)
Remove the applicable access panel in the bottom skin at track 3:
-
for the left wing, remove 587AB
-
for the right wing, remove 687AB.
(4)
Put the spark-proof lamp adjacent to the inspection area.
