WARNING : MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROLS ARE

(1) Extend the flaps fully (Ref. TASK 27-50-00-866-008).

(2) Make sure that the LOCKING TOOL - FLAP/SLAT CONTROL LEVER is installed on the flap/slat control lever on the panel 114VU.

D. Get Access
(1)
Put the access platform in position below the flap track 4 at zone 533(633).
(2)
Remove the applicable flap track fairing (Ref. TASK 57-55-11-000-004):

for the left wing, remove 533AT, 533CB
-
for the right wing, remove 633AT, 633CB.
(3)
Remove the applicable access panel from the bottom skin at track 4:
-
for the left wing, remove 587BB
-
for the right wing, remove 687BB.
(4)
Put the spark-proof lamp adjacent to the inspection area.

A. Preparation for Inspection
(1) Use a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003), made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) to clean the pendulum support, drive bracket, attachment structure and internal support fitting.

B. Inspection
(1)
Do an inspection of the pendulum support, drive bracket and the attachment structure. Make sure that:

there is no damage
-
there is no corrosion
-
there are no cracks or scores
-
the internal support fitting, pendulum support and drive bracket are installed correctly
-
the surface protection is in the correct condition.
(2)
Do an inspection of the internal support fitting, where it can be seen. Make sure that:
-
there is no damage
-
there is no corrosion
