R  shape to permit full flap travel in both the extension/retraction 
R  ranges.

R  (h) Fully tighten the cable ties (3) that were loosely fitted, but 
R  not the cable tie guide at point 'X'. Make sure that you do not 
R  compress the electrical harnesses (9). 
R  (i) Disconnect the PTU (Ref. TASK 29-23-00-860-001). 
R  NOTE : The flaps will travel at half speed.____ 
R  (j) Remove the TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER. 
R  (k) Do the operational test of flap system (Ref. TASK 27-54-00-710-
R  001). Install the LOCKING TOOL - FLAP/SLAT CONTROL LEVER 
R  (98D27803000000) on the flap/slat control lever at each flap 
R  position. 
R  (l) With the flaps at positions 1, 2, 3 and FULL, examine the 
R  electrical harnesses (9) and the interface connectors (6). Make 
R  sure that they are correctly attached and that they do not touch: 
R  - the flap drive gearbox (1) 
R  - the flap track beam (5) 
R  - the flap track carriage (2) 
R  - the adjacent structure. 
R  (m) Remove the LOCKING TOOL - FLAP/SLAT CONTROL LEVER from the 
R  flap/slat control lever. 
R  (n) Connect the PTU (Ref. TASK 29-23-00-860-002). 
R  (o) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special 
R  and standard tools and all other items. 
R  (p) After each flight, the electrical harnesses (9) and the interface 
R  connectors (6), must be examined to make sure that: 
R  - there is no damage to the electrical harnesses (9) or the cable 
R  ties (3) 
R  - there is no chafing of the electrical harnesses (9) 
R  - the interface connectors (6) are correctly attached and are not 
R  damaged. 
R  NOTE : It may be necessary to lubricate the deactivated____ 
R  flap-track assembly (because of bad weather and the local 
R  conditions) (Ref. TASK 12-22-27-640-004). 
R  (q) Make a note in the aircraft log that the flap-track fairing has 
R  been deactivated.
