Put the safety barriers in position.
(2)
Put warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the spoilers.
(3)
Put warning notices in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps or slats.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Put the access platform below the applicable spoiler:
-
for spoiler 2, zone 583 (683)
-
for spoiler 3, zone 584 (684)
-
for spoiler 4, zone 585 (685)
-
for spoiler 5, zone 586 (686).
(2)
Do a manual extension of the spoilers (Ref. TASK 27-60-00-866-002).
(3)
Fully extend the flaps (Ref. TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
R (4) Make sure that the COLLAR-SAFETY, SPOILER is installed on the spoiler servo control.
R (5) Make sure that the LOCKING TOOL - FLAP/SLAT CONTROL LEVER is installed on the flap/slat control lever.
(6) Disconnect the eye end of the spoiler servo control from the applicable spoiler:

B. Inspection
R (1) Do a special detailed inspection of the center hinge fitting on R spoilers 2, 3, 4 and 5 (Ref. NTM 57-70-06 PART 4) and (Ref. NTM 57-R 70-06 PART 6).
NOTE : If necessary, refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 577000) for the
____ correct repair procedure. If the defect is not included in this repair, you must request a procedure from Airbus Industrie.
