(1) Use a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003), made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004) to clean the spoiler upper and lower skins adjacent to the center hinge area.

B. Inspection
(1) Examine the spoiler upper and lower skins adjacent to the center hinge. Make sure that:
-
there are no cracks
-
there is no damage
-
there are no signs of delamination
-
there is no corrosion at the metal attachment points
-the surface protection is in the correct condition.
NOTE : If necessary, refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 577000) for the
____
correct repair procedure.
5. Close-up

A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 6CV, 8CV.

B. Aircraft Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Retract the spoilers (Ref. TASK 27-60-00-866-002).
(3)
On the servo-control, make sure that the pointer on the hex-head is opposite the letter 'O' (Operation) on the housing.

C. Removal of Equipment
(1)
Remove the access platform(s).
(2)
Remove the warning notice(s).

Remove the safety barriers.
(4)
Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
