B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration

WARNING : MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE LANDING GEAR ARE CLEAR.

R (1) Install the GROUND SAFETY LOCK (D23080000) on the NLG and the GROUND LOCK SLEEVE (460005833) or the GROUNDLOCK SLEEVE (460007280) on each MLG lockstay actuator (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-481-001) .
(2) Visually examine the L/G to make sure that it is down and locked.
NOTE : The L/G doors do not close after Free-Fall operation.

R (3) Remove the GROUND SAFETY LOCK from the NLG and the GROUND LOCK SLEEVE from each MLG.
WARNING : WHEN THE GRAVITY GEAR HANDLE IS OPERATED THE L/G DOORS WILL

On the panel 400VU, move the landing-gear control-lever 6GA to the DOWN position (to reset the hydraulic system).
(5)
On the panel 110VU, turn the GRAVITY GEAR EXTN handle counterclockwise three full turns at a rate of one full turn each 5 seconds (L/G doors close). Fold the GRAVITY GEAR EXTN handle into the center console.
(6)
Visually examine the L/G doors to make sure that they are closed and locked.
(7)
On the panel 400VU, move the landing-gear control-lever 6GA to the UP position (doors open, L/G retracts and doors close).
(8)
Visually examine the L/G and the L/G doors to make sure that they are fully retracted and locked.
(9)
Make sure that the ECAM lower DU shows that:
-
the L/G is retracted and locked
-
the L/G doors are closed and locked. Make sure that the three green triangles on the L/G annunciator panel 402VU are off.

C. Functional Check of the L/G Safety Valve Power Interrupt Circuit

(1)
Make sure that ADIRS 1 or 3 are powered (Ref. TASK 34-10-00-860-002), (Ref. TASK 34-10-00-860-005).
(2)
On the panel 400VU, move the landing-gear control-lever 6GA to the DOWN position.
(3) Install the GROUND LOCK SLEEVE (460005833) or the GROUNDLOCK SLEEVE R (460007280) on each MLG lockstay actuator and the GROUND SAFETY LOCK R (D23080000) on the NLG (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(4) Visually examine the L/G to make sure that it is down and locked.

(6)
On the panel 400VU, move the landing-gear control-lever 6GA to the UP position. While the L/G retracts open the circuit breaker 1GA and make sure that the L/G continues to retract. Close the circuit breaker 1GA.
(7)
Visually examine the L/G and the L/G doors to make sure that they are retracted and locked.
