(a) Use a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) to clean the mating faces of:

-the bracket (50).
NOTE : If the shim is to be installed, make sure that it is
____ installed in the correct position.
(b)
If applicable, apply BONDING AND ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS (Material No. 08-001) to both sides of the shim (35).
(c)
If applicable, put the shim (35) in position on the bracket (50).
(d)
Align the sensor mounting bracket (38) with the shim (35) if installed, and install with the bolts (49), the washers (36) and the nuts (37).
(e)
TORQUE the nuts (37) to between 0.25 and 0.35 m.daN (22.12 and
30.97 lbf.in).
(f)
Install the target (42) with the bolts (43), the washers (44) and the nuts (45).
(g)
TORQUE the nuts (45) to between 0.25 and 0.35 m.daN (22.12 and
30.97 lbf.in).
(h)
Remove the blanking caps from the applicable electrical connectors.
(i)
Connect the electrical connector (47) to the proximity sensor (40).
(j)
Apply a layer of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-001) to the bolts (43) and (49), the washers (36) and (44) and the nuts (37) and (45).
