E. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Connect a GROUND POWER UNIT - HYDRAULIC to the aircraft (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-863-001). Do not pressurize the Green hydraulic system until told to do so in Paragraph 4.A.
(2)
Energize the electrical circuits from the external power (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(3)
Open the MLG doors (Ref. TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(4)
Install a GROUND LOCK SLEEVE (460005835) on each MLG door (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
(5)
Open the NLG doors (Ref. TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
(6)
Install a SAFETY PIN - NLG DOOR (98D32203502000) in each NLG door (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
(7)
Install the PIN-NLG DOWNLOCK SAFETY (D23080000) in the NLG lock stay (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(8)
Remove the ground safety lock from the applicable MLG.
(9)
Remove the safety stay from FR73/74.
(10) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only) (Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-001).

4. Procedure

A. Bleeding MLG Actuating Cylinder WARNING : MAKE SURE THAT THE CONTROLS AGREE WITH THE POSITION OF THE
_______ ITEMS THEY OPERATE BEFORE YOU PRESSURIZE A HYDRAULIC SYSTEM.
WARNING : MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE LANDING GEAR ARE CLEAR.

WARNING : MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
_______ ARE CLEAR BEFORE YOU PRESSURIZE/DEPRESSURIZE A HYDRAULIC SYSTEM.
NOTE : It is necessary to have two persons for this procedure. One person
____ must be in the cockpit to operate the lever 6GA. One person must be at the MLG to operate the GROUND POWER UNIT - HYDRAULIC and to monitor the movement of the MLG. The two persons must be able to speak to each other.
NOTE : During this procedure, make sure that the necessary minimum flow
____ capacity from the GROUND POWER UNIT - HYDRAULIC is 140 l.min (36.9837 USgal.mn).
NOTE : The GROUND POWER UNIT - HYDRAULIC must be started in the No-Load
____ Position and No-Flow must come from the hydraulic rig.
(1)
Start the GROUND POWER UNIT - HYDRAULIC without pressurizing the Green hydraulic system.
(2)
On the panel 400VU:
-move the landing-gear control-lever 6GA to the UP position. NOTE : Be careful when you open the flow control valve on the GROUND
____ POWER UNIT - HYDRAULIC. The rate of retraction of the landing gear is controlled by the position of the flow control valve.
(3)
At the GROUND POWER UNIT - HYDRAULIC:
-slowly open the flow control valve to make the landing gear retract to between 20 and 30 degrees from the vertical.
(4)
At the GROUND POWER UNIT - HYDRAULIC:
-when the applicable MLG is set to between 20 and 30 degrees from the vertical, close the flow control valve (on the GROUND POWER UNIT - HYDRAULIC). This will stop the movement of the MLG.

(5) On the panel 400VU:
-move the landing-gear control-lever 6GA to the DOWN position. NOTE : Be careful when you open the flow control valve on the GROUND
____ POWER UNIT - HYDRAULIC. The rate of extension of the landing gear is controlled by the position of the flow control valve.
(6)
At the GROUND POWER UNIT - HYDRAULIC:
-slowly open the flow control valve to extend the MLG.
(7)
In the cockpit:
-make sure the applicable MLG is in the indicated locked down position.
(8)
At the GROUND POWER UNIT - HYDRAULIC:
-fully close the flow control valve.
(9)
Do the steps (3) thru (8) again. Do a minimum of ten cycles of the MLG to fully bleed the system.

Do the EIS stop procedure (Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-002)
(2)
Depressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(3)
Install the ground safety lock on the applicable MLG.
