Install these items together:

the pin (8)
-
the washers or spacers (9) of the same thickness as the eye-end of the removed lockspring
-
the washers (10), (7) and (11)
-
the lockspring (6)
-
the washer (13) and the nut (14).
(3)
Install the SPRING EXPANDER-MLG SIDE STAY (460005832) on the lockspring (6) (Ref. TASK 32-11-19-481-001).
(4)
Use the driving nuts (12) and (21) to align the eye-end of the lockspring (6) with the side-stay attachment lugs.
(5)
Install these items together:
-
the pin (16)
-
the washer (17)
-
the lockspring (6)
-
the spacer (3)
-
the washers or spacer (4) of the same thickness as the eye-end of the removed lockspring
-
the washer (5).
(6)
Attach the bullet (1) to the pin (2) and install the pin (2).
NOTE : The pin (2) will push out the pin (16).

(7) Remove the bullet (1) from the pin (2).

(8) Install the washer (18) and the nut (19). NOTE : To do the functional test with one lockspring removed it is

not necessary to:
-torque the nuts (14) and (19)
-install the cotter pins (15) and (20).
(9) Remove the SPRING EXPANDER-MLG SIDE STAY from the lockspring (6) (Ref. TASK 32-11-19-081-001).
(10) Close the MLG doors (Ref. TASK 32-12-00-410-001). R (11) Remove the GROUND SAFETY LOCK from the NLG.
(12)
Remove the GROUND LOCK SLEEVE from each MLG lockstay actuator.
(13)
Connect the hydraulic ground-power supply to the aircraft ground connectors 1006GM suction and 1008GM delivery on panel 197CB.

H. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Remove the safety equipment: CAUTION : REMOVE THE SAFETY STAY BEFORE YOU DO THE LANDING GEAR
_______ EXTENSION AND RETRACTION TESTS. DAMAGE TO THE FUSELAGE CAN OCCUR IF THE AIRCRAFT MOVES DURING THE TESTS.
(a) Remove the safety stay at FR 73/74.
(2)
Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(3)
Do the EIS start procedure (Upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only) (Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(4)
On the ECAM CP:
-push (in) the WHEEL pushbutton switch (PBS/W) and make sure that the WHEEL page shows on the ECAM lower DU.
(5)
Make sure that the ECAM lower DU shows:
-
the L/G down and locked
-
the L/G doors closed and locked.
(6)
Make sure that on panel 402VU:
-the three green position-indicator-lights are on.
