(2) If the electrical power is necessary, do the precautions for flight R configuration with electrical power (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-860-001) R before you open the circuit breakers.

E. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Disconnect the isolation coupling of the PTU (Ref. TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
R (2) Make sure that the Yellow and Green Hydraulic systems are R de-pressurized (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(3) Make sure that the applicable hydraulic reservoirs have been depressurized (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-001).

Put the EQUIPMENT-R/I OF THE MLG ACTUATOR (98D32104009001) and the hoist (S.W.L. 50 kg) or the EQUIPMENT-R/I OF THE MLG ACTUATOR (98D32104009003) or the EQUIPMENT-R/I OF THE MLG ACTUATOR (98D32104009006) or the EQUIPMENT-R/I OF THE MLG ACTUATOR (98D32104009007) in position on the wing.

Put the SLIPPER BLOCK(REAR SPAR ATTACHMENT BRACKET-ACTUATOR) (98D57004019000) in position to protect the area.
R (4) Put the container below the applicable actuating cylinder.

A. Removal of the MLG Actuating Cylinder WARNING : DO NOT LET OIL STAY ON YOUR SKIN FOR A LONG TIME AS IT CAN

CAUSE INJURY.
CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT THE FLUID DOES NOT STAY ON THE AIRCRAFT
_______ STRUCTURE. IF THE FLUID GETS ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE, WASH IT OFF IMMEDIATELY WITH SOAP AND WATER.
(1)
Use the EQUIPMENT - R/I OF THE MLG ACTUATOR to hold actuating cylinder 38 kg (83.7756 lb).
(2)
Disconnect the hydraulic hose unions (21) and (22) from the actuating cylinder manifold (23).
(3)
Put blanking plugs on the disconnected line ends.
(4)
Make the hydraulic hoses secure to protect them from damage. Do not put kinks in them.
(5)
Remove and discard the cotter pin (35). Remove the nut (34), the washer (33), the cap (32) and the bolt (29).
(6)
Remove and discard the cotter pin (37). Remove the nut (38), the washer (39), the nylon-washer (40) and the bolt (41). Remove the collar (36).
(7)
Remove the pins (20) and (27), and the washers (30) and (43). Carefully remove the actuating cylinder.
