 On the panel 400VU:

 -move the landing-gear control-lever 6GA to the UP position.

 (2)
 Have persons monitor the operation of the L/G during free-fall extension to check that the L/G extends and locks smoothly.

 (3)
 Do this check:

1. On the hydraulic test rig:
-slowly increase the pressure to the GREEN hydraulic system from the hydraulic test rig to 3000 psi (207 bar)
 -fully decrease the pressure in the hydraulic test rig. On the panel 400VU, move the landing-gear control-lever 6GA to the DOWN position.
2. On the panel 110VU:
-release the GRAVITY GEAR EXTN handle from the center console. Turn the GRAVITY GEAR EXTN handle two full turns clockwise at a rate of one turn every five seconds.
3. Make sure the landing gear doors are fully open. On the panel 110VU, turn the GRAVITY GEAR EXTN handle one full turn clockwise in five seconds.
On the aircraft:
-
the landing gear doors open, thelanding gear retracts, the landinggear doors close and lock.

On the aircraft:

-
the landing gear stays retracted, thelanding gear doors stay closed andlockedOn panel 402VU:

 -
the three red UNLK lights come on The ECAM lower DU shows:

the landing gear doors are closed

 -
the L/G CTL legend.

On the aircraft:

the uplocks of the landing gear doorsunlock and the landing gear doorsopenOn panel 402VU:

the three red UNLK lights stay onThe ECAM lower DU shows:

the landing gear doors are in transit

 -
the L/G CTL legend.

On the aircraft:

the landing gear uplocks open

the landing gear is down and lockedOn panel 402VU:

 A. Safety Precautions R (1) Install the GROUND SAFETY LOCK (D23080000) on the NLG.
 (2)
 Install the SAFETY PIN - NLG DOOR (98D32203502000) on the NLG doors.

 (3)
 Install the GROUNDLOCK SLEEVE on each of the MLG.


 (4) Install the GROUND LOCK SLEEVE (460005835) on each of the MLG doors. Subtask 32-33-00-860-056
 B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
 (1)
 Install the removed NLG lockspring (Ref. TASK 32-21-18-400-002).

 (2)
 Install the SPRING EXPANDER-MLG SIDE STAY (460005832) (Ref. TASK 32-11-19-481-001).

 (3)
 Remove the lockspring (6):

 (a)
 Remove the nut (19) and the washer (18).

 (b)
 Adjust the SPRING EXPANDER-MLG SIDE STAY, by use of the driving nut (21) until the pin (2) is loose.

 (c) Remove these items together:
 -
the pin (2)

 -
the washer (17)

 -
the spacer (3)

 -
the washer or spacers (4)

 -
the washer (5).


 (4)
 Release the tension of the lockspring (6), by use of the driving nut (21).

 (5)
 Remove the SPRING EXPANDER-MLG SIDE STAY (Ref. TASK 32-11-19-081-001).


 (6)
 Remove the nut (14) and the washer (13).

 (7)
 Remove these items together:

 -
the pin (8)

 -
the lockspring (6)

 -
the washers (11), (7) and (10)

 -
the washer or spacers (9).

 

 (8)
 Install the MLG locksprings (Ref. TASK 32-11-19-400-001).

 (9)
 Close the MLG doors (Ref. TASK 32-12-00-410-001).


 (10)
 On the panel 110VU:

 -turn the GRAVITY GEAR EXTN handle three full turns
 counterclockwise, then fold it into the center console.


 (11)
 Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
