3.1 OTHER REGIONS
3.1.1 RA broadcasts are directed to the Asia-Pacific region. These broadcasts may be heard
in other regions but reception may be variable. RA broadcasts directed to the central
Pacific may be heard in North America (eg 9580, 5995, 9860 & 11800 KHZ). Broadcasts
directed at South Asia may be heard in the Middle East and Europe (eg , 11660 & 21725
KHZ).
3.2 RA NEWS REPORTING
3.2.1 World news with emphasis on the Asia-Pacific regions is broadcast on the hour, seven
days a week. Detailed Australian news is broadcast Monday to Friday at 0105, 0305,
0505, 0905, 1105, 1305, 1505, 2305 UTC and in Saturday and Sunday 0905, 1105, 1305
and 1505 UTC. Asian news is broadcast at 1005, 1205 and 1405 daily. Pacific news is
broadcast at 0705 and 1905 UTC Monday to Friday.
