CRUISE (END) :

Crew checks TOD and reports ready for descent

BORGO, join BORGO holding at 5000 ft for short delay until further advised, report
your last BORGO exit time."
DESCENT :
Check that crew reviews revised fuel predictions after reclearance and checks the
TOD the FMGS preparartion for arrival and preparation of FMGS SEC FPLN for
circling regarding the restrictions. Notice the application of correct briefing for non
precision approach and circling, the insertion of ALT constraints on BORGO, the
correct checking of the last exit time from holding page and the insertion of and
regarding to an ALT constraint on final (1650 ft ALT) if applicable. Crew has to set the
correct MDA for circling.
The following MARSEILLE Provence weather should have been provided to the crew :
LFML : NDB 14L 320/12 3000 BKN1500 OVC2000 18/16 Q1020 RAIN RWY WET
BRKNG ACT MEDIUM. (Rain should be inserted from IOS just to make the crew
use of screen wipers).
PROVENCE APPROACH 120.20
Crew reports reaching 5000 ft and proceeding to BORGO.

Crew joins the holding and reports outbound end.
APPROACH :

APPROACH AND GO AROUND :
PROVENCE TOWER 119.50
Crew reports on FRQ descending 1650 ft.
"[Airline ID] XXX - cleared for LOC approach RWY 14L, when field in sight break off to
the right."
While the a/c is on approach the PROVENCE weather should be set appropriately on
IOS with RWY light system at max brightness (5) and during approach CAT III on
visibility and cloud base should be set to make the crew going around. Check how the
crew is dealing with approach preparation, briefing and a/c handling during approach.
The choosen approach (stabilized or decelerated) and the selection of auto brake
should be noticed.
Crew reports passing outre marker and on go around.
"[Airline ID] XXX - follow standard go around procedure, weather is improving, climb
3500 ft, change PROVENCE APPROACH 120.20."
