When about to approach LOC intercept and G HYD system has been resored
normally by utilisation of the correct procedure during radar leg :
"[Airline ID] XXX - turn left HDG 190°, cleared to intercept the localiser, maintain
4000 ft for the time being you are still Nr. 2."
Keep aircraft at 4000 ft until reaching 9.3 TBS DME for G/S interception from above
(Max 2 dots above). Watch preparation for stabilized approach principle.
"[Airline ID] XXX - cleared to approach RWY 15R, Nr. 1 now."
Check that crew is utilising proper procedure for G/S interception from above.
At VAPP and V/S - 1500 ft/min, A/C should be established on G/S at approx 5.8
TBS/1900 ft RA.
When established on G/S (G/S* comes up) :
"[Airline ID] XXX - change Blagnac Tower 118.10."
BLAGNAC TOWER 118.10
Crew reports on FRQ, ILS 15R established :
"[Airline ID] XXX - Nr. 1, cleared to land RWY 15R, wind calm."
NOTE : At 1000 ft AGL insert G/S transmitter failure.
Check that G/A is initiated not later than LOC minimum (MDA 870 ft).

GO AROUND :

Crew reports on go around :
"[Airline ID] XXX - glide slope RWY 15R is out of service, follow standard missed
approach procedure, maintain 4000 ft, change Toulouse Radar 121.10."
NOTE : Landing in Toulouse becomes inpossible because of :
- Low cloud base and G/S failure,
- RWY 15L/33R is closed (see notam) and
- ILS 33L U/S (see notam).
DIVERSION (to LFBD) :
TOULOUSE RADAR 121.10
Crew reports on go around inbound NOPTA, maintaining 4000 ft and has normally
decided after a brief review of the conditions to divert to ALTN airport LFBD :
"[Airline ID] XXX - from present position proceed direct AGN climb to FL 100 initially
and contact Bordeaux Control 124.25."
BORDEAUX CONTROL 124.45
Crew reports on FRQ and inbound AGN, climbing to FL100 with decision to divert to
LFBD and asking for further advise :
"[Airline ID] XXX - maintain FL 100 on reaching, squawk A5420, proceed AGN-MIRBA
direct. Expect MIRBA arrival, ILS RWY 23, what is your requested level ?"
Check that crew considers use of optimum FL and is requesting further climb :
"[Airline ID] XXX - climb and maintain FL ... , report ready for descent."
ECAM amber caution L + R WING TK LO LVL may come on during diversion.
If G HYD SYS not restored and landing gear extended, FOB might not be sufficient to
reach LFBD. Check crew awareness and freeze fuel if necessary to avoid negative
impact on trainees of a inflight fuel starvation.
Insert the following weather for LFBD :

Crew is reaching TOD and reports ready for descend :
"[Airline ID] XXX - descend to FL 080 and contact Merignac Approach 121.20."
MERIGNAC APPROACH 121.20
Crew reports on FRQ, passing ALT, descending to FL 080 :
"[Airline ID] XXX - radar contact, proceed to MIRBA, expect MIRBA 4 arrival for
ILS RWY 23 circle to land RWY 05" - (use of VOR TAC RWY 05 prohibited by
NOTAM).
MERIGNAC APPROACH 121.20
Crew is approaching to MIRBA and shortly prior to passing :
"[Airline ID] XXX - inbound LIBRU descent to 5000 ft QNH 1004 BE next."
NOTE : Check that the crew has inserted proper arrival for ILS RWY 23 and that
SEC-F/PLAN is prepared for CIRCLING APPCH RWY 05.
When passing LIBRU :
"[Airline ID] XXX - continue descent to 2000 ft, QNH 1004, proceed direct BE."
When passing BE :
"[Airline ID] XXX - cleared for ILS APPR RWY 23, report RWY in sight."
Set TWILIGHT visual and HIRL intensity 5, then set CAVOK when aircraft is below
2000 ft and established on ILS RWY 23.
When RWY in sight reported :
"[Airline ID] XXX - cleared for circling approach RWY 05, contact TWR 118.30."
