01 - BRIEFING TOPICS
· Standard LOFT briefing.
· Instructor will take the role of dispatcher and action the trainee crew decisions regarding
extra fuel etc... Once the crew has entered the simulator, the instructor will communicate
with them as required, in the role of ground mechanic, ATC, cabin crew or company agent.
· Except in the event of simulator problems, the instructor must not interrupt the crew in any
way, particularly concerning crew decisions and actions.
· Performance Calculation.
· Non Precision Approach and Circling.
· Diversion to ALTN airport.
· Turbulence penetration procedure.
02 - SESSION OBJECTIVE
Crew should apply good crew coordination as PF and PNF within a Line Oriented Flight
Training environment.
· This session is to demonstrate a real time flight with real time problems.
· 2nd flight (Leg B) from LFBO - TOULOUSE / BLAGNAC to LFML - MARSEILLE /
PROVENCE.
· 1st approach at LFML will be a LOC appraoch with go around - weather improves.
· 2nd approach is to be done as a NDB approach with circling and normal landing.
03 - SESSION PROFICIENCY CRITERIA
The trainees must be proficient in:
· Crew coordination (ACRM tasks),
· Decision making process,
· FMGS utilization,
· Radio communication and use of technical equipment (use of RMP and ACP) and
· A/C handling on all flight phases.

IN THE BRIEFING ROOM :
The crew must be provided with documents required for the flight:
COMPUTERIZED FLIGHT PLAN (CFP) :
CFP should be checked by the crew before the flight, and fuel corrections may be
made by the captain.
Block fuel may be increased due to weather and NOTAMS if applicable.
MET REPORTS :
Weather should be analysed, wind and temperature at FL 9000 m (FL 295) to be
inserted into MCDU during cockpit preparation.
XXXXXX Z indicates that day and time of weather data are valid for the intended flight
period.
NOTAMS :
Should be analysed and inoperative VOR’s (if applicable) deselected during cockpit
preparation (i.e. VOR on test).
- T/O with full thrust flexible thrust should be performed,
LOAD AND TRIM SHEET
Should be analysed and corrected if necessary (e.g. : increased block fuel)
- Stress that ideal CG = 33% and when T/O CG is lower than 27% MAC the basic
performance must be corrected (see FCOM VOL 2).
- With AFT CG and crosswind, special T/O procedure should be applied if applicable
(see SOP A320).

Crew should define T/O configuration, T/O speed and acceleration altitude.
- If the crew has NOT completed PERF CRS yet, the instructor will define all
TAKE-OFF DATA as shown below (AIR COND ON / ANTI ICE OFF):

PREFLIGHT:
TAKE-OFF DATA
ATIS : see T/O data page, insert turbulence level 10 % and top of clouds 500 ft.
Enter T/O data according to the crew preparation, or instructor definition (if crew has
not completed performance course).
PARKING GATE POSITION
Aircraft is at Gate parking position (select MAP on IOS to validate LL).
Set left window visual ON, press INIT GATE.
Check that gate coordinates have been entered and cross checked by the crew.
