TAKE-OFF:

At holding point and ready for line up and T/O - T/O clearance to be given :
"[Airline ID] XXX - line-up RWY 18R, cleared for take-off, wind 270°/22 kt.
a) Check how expedite climb is initiated after T/O or speed restriction is inserted as a
constraint (green - dot speed) and how the crew is watching to meet the required
constraining speeds and / or altitudes if applicable.
b) Check that for combination of crosswind and aft C/G (if applicable) for this particular
T/O, PF applied full fwd side stick, and moved thr. levers progressively to reach
FLX / TOGA detent at 40 kt
(see A320 SOP).
c) Check that noise abatement restrictions are respected.
AFTER TAKE-OFF - CLIMB :
SATOLAS TOWER 120.45
Crew is after T/O and reporting airborne and passing current ALT :
"[Airline ID] XXX - airborne at ... , remain on this FRQ, report passing 4500 ft on
SATOLAS RADAR 127.57 climbing to FL 110, if no contact continue this FRQ."
NOTE : Check how the crew is operating with RMP’s.
Crew reports passing 4500 ft ALT on SATOLAS RADAR :

"[Airline ID] XXX - radar contact, climb to FL 110 initially and change MARSEILLE

Crew reports on FRQ, climbing to FL 110 initially :
"[Airline ID] XXX - squawk 5746 ident, climb to FL 200 initially and maintain until
further advised, check passing FL 190."
NOTE : Check level change on progress page to activate the FMGS cruise phase.
Check transponder operations. ATC reports RADAR CONTACT after ident.
Crew reports passing FL 190 and reaching FL 200, if not, instructor mentions it:
"[Airline ID] XXX - climb to FL 280, will be your final level due to traffic, for your
information a preceding a/c has reported moderate to severe turbulence between FL’s
260 and 330 close to 45N04E."
Crew reports approaching and maintaining FL 280.
"[Airline ID] XXX - maintain FL 280 and change to BORDEAUX CONTROL 124.07."
CRUISE:

Crew reports on FRQ and maintaining FL 280 and estimate next WPT :
It should be watched how the crew is dealing with turbulence and turbulence
penetration procedures. After proper application of the procedures the turbulence
should be removed on IOS and an appropriate level should be set again (i.e. 10%).
"[Airline ID] XXX - radar contact, maintain FL 280, MEN, GAI, AUCHE, expect AUCHE
arrival and ILS approach RWY 20, descent at own discretion, report leaving FL 280,
arrange your descent so as to be passing AUCHE at FL 130, report leaving FL 280."
Check that crew reviews revised fuel predictions after reclearance and checks the
TOD the FMGS preparartion for arrival and the insertion of an ALT constraint at
AUCHE. The following TARBES weather should have been provided to the crew :
LFBT : ILS 20 240/15 1200 BKN1000 OVC2000 18/16 Q1018 NOSIG RWY WET
BRKNG ACT GOOD. For information LFLL, LFMT and LFML are closed currently due
to weather.
Crew reports commencing descent to FL 130.
"[Airline ID] XXX - descent to FL 180 initially, contact TOULOUSE RADAR 125.17."

Crew reports on FRQ, passing a certain FL :
"[Airline ID] XXX - TOULOUSE RADAR is on test , inbound AUCHE descent to FL 130
and report reaching."
It should be watched how the crew is respecting the ALT restrictions inbound to
AUCHE and is managing the descent to be passing at FL 130.
The following weather should be prepared and provided to the crew on request for the
ALTN airport LFBO TOULOUSE BLAGNAC :

ACT MEDIUM TO GOOD.
Crew reports approaching AUCHE and reaching FL130.
