RECURRENT CHECKING FFS SESSION GUIDE
01 - SESSION OBJECTIVE
· To be able to execute normal and abnormal procedure and handling.
· To attain sufficient proficiency for the recurrent check.
02 - TRAINING TOPICS
A. REVIEW
· Flight in severe turbulence.
· Emergency descent.
· RTO and on ground emergency evacuation.
· Failure management according to selections.
B. INTRODUCE (NIL)
03 - SESSION PROFICIENCY CRITERIA
· Ability to demonstrate the prescribed maneuvers in this session must be with good
judgement commensurate and high level of safety.
· Ability to demonstrate acting as a crew and to apply CRM skills in all phases of flight.
04 - SESSION GUIDE

3 : Select malfunction out of the Class 1A list as proposed in follow up forms.
11 : Remove wind gradient prior to approach - set ceiling 3000 ft.
13, 19 : Remove windshear after cleaning up.
15, 30 : Select malfunction out of Class 6 list as proposed in follow up forms.
21 : Could be performed in raw data, if required by regulations or operator.
33 : Set the lowest minimum applicable for the crew.
Change wind 130°/5 kt. Take-off only, if time permits, otherwise INIT base leg and
unfreeze position when Low Visibility Operations briefing completed.
35 : For CAT II qualified crews : one missed approach (any reason) every 6 months.
For CAT III qualified crews : one missed approach (A/P disconnection) per year.
