· Ability to perform take off procedures applying standard call outs and task sharing

- Heading : +/- 5°
04 - SESSION GUIDE
1 : The instructor completes the transit cockpit preparation
The instructor inserts the following in the FMGS :
- Init A and B
- FPLN: RWY insertion only
- PERF page
The trainee inserts the required Radio Navigation Aids in the page
The trainee starts the engines and completes the after start items, the FCTL checks
and confirms the take off briefing
After Take off check list completion initialize the simulator on take off
9 : Climb to FL 150
13 : Descent to FL 100 without speed brakes
While in descent intercept a VOR-DME inbound radial

14 : Reduce speed from 250 kt to Vapp
Check time and distance required to decelerate the aircraft: emphasize anticipation
required when flying a stabilized approach: 7/8 NM according to the weight
Start descent on 3° FPA
17 : At FL 80 initiate a go around : instructor removes the FD’s if automatically switched on
Ask the trainee to maintain the last memorized Vapp until reaching acceleration altitude
Speed target at 250 kt : accelerate and clean up the aircraft
21 : Intercept a VOR --DME radial
In descent reduce speed from 250 kt to Vapp
Check time and distance to decelerate the aircraft: emphasize anticipation required
when flying a decelerated approach established on the G/S
25 : Start the G/S interception from 3 000 feet with no wind
- At 2 000 feet freeze position and altitude
- Observe FPV : -3° and centered in the middle of the PFD
- Change the wind : cross wind 15 kt (right)
Point out new heading to maintain the LOC, track and observe FPV is offset
- Change the wind : crosswind 15 kt (left)
Same demonstration
- Review technique for corrections and release the simulator to continue the approach
