01 - SESSION OBJECTIVE
· Familiarization with line flying specifics and procedures as PF and PNF.
02 - TRAINING TOPICS
A. REVIEW
· Preliminary and cockpit preparation
· Use of check-lists
· Crew briefings
· Use of FMGS features during line flying
B. INTRODUCE
· Familiarization with SOPs
· ICAO rules of the air and two way communication
· Use of FMGS during flight with regard to use of enroute and approach charts
· Flight preparation with regard to :
- Weather,
- Notams
- Fuel calculation requirements
- Flight planning
- Performance calculation and limitations
· Introduction of role assignement (CPT, F/O) and appropriate task assignement
· Flight from LFPO to FLMT with diversion to LFML
· ACRM task assignement
· Instructor is supposed to keep his role as an instructor despite of LOFT
03 - SESSION PROFICIENCY CRITERIA
· Understanding of SOPs
· Understanding of line flying specifics
· Ability to apply SOPs during the flight
· Ability to handle the aircraft in all phases of the flight

IN THE BRIEFING ROOM
The crew must be provided with documents required for the flight :
COMPUTERIZED FLIGHT PLAN (CFP) :
CFP should be checked by the crew before the flight. Fuel corrections may be made
at Captain’s discretion.
MET REPORTS :
Weather should be analysed. Wind and temp. at FL 230 to be inserted into MCDU
during cockpit preparation.
NOTAMS :
Should be analysed and inoperative VOR’s deselected during cockpit preparation
TAKE-OFF PERF TABLES :
Crew should define T/O configuration, T/O speed and acceleration altitude
Block fuel is increased due to weather, notams, optimistic fuel in CFP.

PREFLIGHT
Use freeze function to proceed step by step. Use of AP - ATHR even if knowledge of
automation is not fully acquired.
TAKE-OFF DATA :
ATIS : see T/O data page, insert turbulence level 15%, top of clouds 5000 FT
Enter T/O data according to the crew preparation.
PARKING GATE POSITION :
Aircraft is parked at GATE D4 (N4843.7 E00222.1).
NOTE : - Press INIT GATE PARK
- Check that gate coordinates have been entered and X checked by the crew
