FFS 6 SESSION GUIDE
01 - SESSION OBJECTIVE
· To practice non precision approaches
· To study the task sharing in abnormal situation while using ECAM or QRH
· To introduce the rejected take off procedures in terms of crew coordination
02 - BRIEFING TOPICS
· Task sharing in abnormal situation : using ECAM and / or QRH
· Cross wind take off
· Crew incapacitation
· Task sharing in case of rejected take off
03 - SESSION PROFICIENCY CRITERIA
· Ability to perform non precision approaches
· Understand the basic ECAM and / or QRH procedures using acceptable task sharing
· Understand and apply rejected take off procedures
· Handling criteria :
- Speed : 0 / +10 kt
- Altitude : +/- 150 feet
- Radial tracking : +/- 3°
04 - SESSION GUIDE
1 : The instructor prepares the cockpit
At this stage the trainee can insert the parameters in the FMGS :
- Init : A and B
- FPLN : departure RWY only
- Radio Nav
- Performance
The trainee starts the engines and completes the after start items and checklist
The instructor will then initialize the simulator at take off position
3 : Repeat if necessary
5 : Demonstrate the task sharing in abnormal situation
Insist on: respect of aircraft trajectory, navigation, and communication
After ENG OIL LO PR restore the failure and apply the engine relight checklist
11 : Fail the G/S before take off
