01 - SESSION OBJECTIVE
· Demonstration of competence to operate aircraft in low visibility and CAT III operations.
02 - TRAINING TOPICS
A. REVIEW
NIL
B. INTRODUCE
Evaluation in CAT III weather conditions and :
· In normal configuration
· With engine failure
· With autothrust failure
03 - SESSION PROFICIENCY CRITERIA
· To demonstrate that all proficiency requirements are mastered.
04 - SESSION GUIDE
· Avoid using INIT function as much as possible.
· Connect the exercises with the radar vectoring.
· Lead the session as close as possible to line-oriented flight philosophy.
· Use headsets
· Remember the importance of task sharing and good crew coordination.
· Crew is assessed as Captain and First Officer.
· Don’t let yourself get involved in a discussion during session. Make your own judgement
and revert to your instructor role again if for example an exercise is unsatisfactorily carried
out.
5 : RVR = 125 m or company lowest applicable minimum.
