01 - GENERAL
The course is designed to bring the trainee to the level of simulatore instructor for the A320.
Previous experience on the A320 plus an experience as a simulator instructor are assumed.
02 - OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE
A. PHASE 1
· To brief trainees on instructor techniques
· To present the Transition course syllabi
B. PHASE 2
· The trainee should observe a minimum of 3 consecutive training sessions in a
scheduled simulator course, including 1:30 briefing and 0:30 debriefing.
C. PHASE 3
· The trainee conducts a minimum of 3 consecutive training sessions under supervision,
including 1:30 briefing and 0:30 debriefing.
During a general debriefing the trainee will review manoeuvres and his performance will be
reviewed.

The ETOPS course is designed in order to train the flight crew for the specifics of ETOPS
requirements and rules, dispatch criteria as well as the operational guidelines to effectively
operate in the ETOPS environment.
It can be given in conjunction with the Dispatcher course.
· Trainee’s documentation package is made of :
- Trainee’s "Airbus ETOPS course folder" (1)
- "Getting to Grips with ETOPS" booklet (1)
- FCOM volumes and QRH
(1) To be provided by the Instructor
