01 - BRIEFING TOPICS
· Normal engine start
· Take-off : use of RTOLW and limitations
· Demonstration of flaps auto-retraction.
· Use of FMGS.
· ILS back course.
· Reversion mode
02 - SESSION OBJECTIVE
· To study the A320 cockpit.
· To learn the flaps auto-retraction depending on the speed.
· To study the difference between A330 or A340 and A320 for LOC back course.
03 - SESSION PROFICIENCY CRITERIA
· Good application of normal procedures
· Good LOC back course approach

1 : INIT LOAD
During preliminary and cockpit preparation, highlight the new location of controls :
- landing gear gravity extension handle
- parking brake
- loudspeaker knob and lights
- engine fire test single push button
- FCU ALT HOLD
- EFIS DMC switching
- new FM switching
- ECAM and AUDIO switching
Insert cruise wind at only one way point.
Standard ISDU on overhead panel has ALIGN light and keyboard.
Time to NAV is displayed on ECAM memo.
TTN is indicated on "ISDU panel, data selector on HDG position.
3 : Normal use of AUTO START, 2 engines started by the trainee (2 AND 1).
