PREFLIGHT (END) :
Crew is requested in accordance to a LMC to dispatch the a/c with 3 t extra cargo and
has to decide whether it is possible or not, since the current fuel figures cannot be
changed anymore without significant delay if applicable.
NOTE : Because penalty ration is 23 kg / 1000 kg the expected extra fuel burn off will
be 3 x 23 = 66 + 5% Rte Res. This needs to carry 70 kg extra fuel for 3 t extra
cargo.

On short notice a NOTAM by MARSEILLE has been received concerning all
MARSEILLE FIR traffic : Due to navy rocket exercises 100 NM south of FJR VOR at
position 4155.0N 00358.0E radius 50 NM, all overflying traffic prohibited within the
assigned area.
ENGINE START AND PUSH BACK :
BLAGNAC GROUND 121.90
Crew reports on FRQ and is advised on first contact that the routing cannot be
provided without delay. Crew requests a new clearance and start and push.
"[Airline ID] XXX - flight plan is cancelled, request your decision."
Crew requests new flight plan via Montpellier and has already prepared the most
probable routing on SEC FPLN.
"[Airline ID] XXX - your ATC to LFML, AFRIC ... departure - G393 - FJR - G6 - MTG
clearance limit, climb FL 180 initially, level change enroute, squawk 2475, start and
push approved, call ready for taxi."

AFTER PUSH BACK AND TAXI :

Push back NOSE pointing proper direction.
When taxi requested:
"[Airline ID] XXX - taxi to holding position RWY 33L, cleared to cross 33R, at holding
change BLAGNAC TOWER 118.10, and report ready for departure."
The before T/O check list to the line should have been completed prior to asking for
line-up and take-off. When lining up the proper actions should be noticed and
mentioned if necessary and the before T/O c/l below the line should be performed. It
should be noticed how the crew is preparing the new departure route because of RWY
change from 15R to 33L.
TAKE-OFF :
BLAGNAC TOWER 118.10
At holding point and ready for line up and T/O - T/O clearance to be given :
"[Airline ID] XXX - here is an amendment to your ATC proceed AFRIC ... departure,
line-up RWY 33L, cleared for take-off, wind 050°/15 kt."
a) Check how expedite climb is initiated after T/O or speed restriction is inserted as a
constraint (green - dot speed) and how the crew is watching to meet the required
constraining speeds and / or altitudes if applicable.
b) Check that for combination of crosswind and aft C/G (if applicable) for this particular
T/O, PF applied full fwd side stick, and moved thr. levers progressively to reach
FLX / TOGA detent at 40 kt
(see A320 SOP).
c) Check that noise abatement restrictions are respected.
