"[Airline ID] XXX - descent to 3000 ft inbound TBO, AUCHE ... arrival, ILS approach

While the a/c is descending the TARBES weather should be set appropriately on IOS
with RWY light system at max brightness (5) and during approach 0/0 on visibility and
cloud base should be set to make the crew going around. Check how the crew is
dealing with approach preparation, briefing and a/c handling during approach. The
choosen approach (stabilized or decelerated) and the selection of auto brake should
be noticed.
Crew reports passing TBO and maintaining 3000 ft ALT.
"[Airline ID] XXX - remain on this frequency, cleared to intercept the ILS RWY 20,
cleared to land, wind 230°/15 kt."

GO AROUND :

Crew reports on go around RWY 20. The correct a/c handling and procedure
application during go around should have been watched.
"[Airline ID] XXX - follow standard go around procedure to TBO, clearance limit, climb
to 4000 ft ALT initially, airport is closed for the time being, advise your decisions."
The decision making should be noticed with regards to the already known closed
airports and the fuel requirements for a diversion should have been checked. The
crew should have choosen the ALTN Toulouse and informs the ATC accordingly.
"[Airline ID] XXX - expect TBO ... arrival, RWY in use 33L, what is your requested
level."
Crew may chose the defaulted FL 240. It should be noticed that the crew is using the
FMGS in order to decide the ALT for diversion.
"[Airline ID] XXX - climb to FL 130, will be your final level, TBO ... arrival, change
TOULOUSE RADAR 129.30."
DIVERSION :

Crew reports on FRQ and reaching and maintaining FL 130.

It should be noticed how the crew satisfies the ATC demand concerning the holding
time at SULIT and reports it accordingly. The crew calls ready for descent.

DESCENT AND APPROACH :

It should have been watched how the crew prepared the non precision approach and
how the briefing was done. Furthermore should be noticed how the crew is dealing
with the altitude constraint at D165 (4000 ft ALT), how the crew is using the AFS
during approach (i.e. TRK - FPA when cleared to approach, watching the decel point)
and the proper a/c handling and raw data checking.
