. the red flag is shown:
- do the BITE test of the DME (Ref. AMM TASK 34-51-00-740-002).
(1) If the BITE test gives a maintenance message: R - Do the trouble shooting procedure related to the maintenance R message. R

Feb 01/05 CES (2) If the BITE test does not give a maintenance message:
- replace the INTRG-DME, 1 (2SD1) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-51-33-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 34-51-33-400-001).
(a) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring of the DISTANCE DATA OUTPUT 2 bus from the DME interrogator 1 (2SD1) to the first terminal block (Ref. ASM 34-51/01).
B. If on the CAPT ND only: . the DME 1 data do not come into view . the red flag is shown:
- make sure that on the center pedestal, on the SWITCHING panel 8VU, the EIS DMC selector switch is at CAPT 3:
(1) If no:
- replace the DMC-1 (1WT1) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-34-400-001).
(a) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring of the DME 1 INPUT bus from the DMC 1 (1WT1) to the first terminal block (Ref. ASM 34-51/01).
(2) If yes:
- replace the DMC-3 (1WT3) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-34-400-001).
(a) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring of the DME 1 INPUT bus from the DMC 3 (1WT3) to the first terminal block (Ref. ASM 34-51/01).
C. If on the F/O ND only: . the DME 1 data do not come into view . the red flag is shown:
- make sure that on the center pedestal, on the SWITCHING panel 8VU, the EIS DMC selector switch is at F/O 3:
(1) If no:
- replace the DMC-2 (1WT2) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 31-63-34-400-001).
(a) If the fault continues:
- do a check and repair the wiring of the DME 1 INPUT bus from the DMC 2 (1WT2) to the first terminal block (Ref. ASM 34-51/01).
